Earl Wear started singing at age five and turned professional in his late teens. He won numerous contests including a spot on the Charlie Daniel's Talent Roundup in Nashville. He placed 1st in The Jimmy Dean Country Showdown at the local AND regional competitions and placed 6th at the national show, beating out 10,000 other acts.
Earl and his band, Haywire (including the BEST of the best musicians around) have been playing nationally for the last 7 years and have developed quite a coast-to-coast following. They have shared the stage with over 60 major recording artists; most recently Trace Adkins, Keith Anderson, Jake Owen, Rodney Atkins, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton.
AWARDS: In 2001 Earl Wear & Haywire were voted "Best Band in the Pacific Northwest". Earl was awarded “Best Male Vocalist” at the Independent Music Network Awards for a record breaking six years in a row (2009 thru 2014).
In 2015 he won the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” award partly due to his hit single “What’s Not To Love” spending over 130 weeks at the top of the charts.
His other hit, "Walking To Wyoming" was recorded in 2001 but was re-released in 2008 and spent 33 weeks at #1 on the Independent Music Network's Country Charts. His other hits (including “She Calls Everybody Honey” and "Blame It On Jones") have also spent significant time on the Indie charts and can still be heard in regular rotation all over the US and in 50 countries world-wide!
Earl recently traveled to L.A. to record the song “It’s Just a Matter of Fact”, written & produced by the award winning Dino Maddalone. The song was written for a major motion picture that will be released to audiences world-wide in 2017. Earl & Haywire also appeared live on the “Ask Dino Show” which will be seen by over 5 million viewers. The band’s new EP is in production and will be ready for release in the Summer of 2017.
